To cleanse your home: Start at the front door of the home. Light one end of your smudge stick, allowing it to catch fire and burn for several seconds. Once the flame extinguishes, gently blow on the lit end to fan the embers. The smudge will begin to glow and smoke. Lay the smudge in a heat proof dish (like pottery) to catch the embers as it burns. Then, begin to move around the home. Move mindfully and with care, walking clockwise around the entire perimeter of the home. Allow the ash to collect in a ceramic bowl or shell. When done, put out the stick into the bowl or shell.
